When thinking of live casino games, most automatically think of Evolution Gaming. Or at least the judges at the EGR B2B Awards do, since they recently handed the developer the award for best live dealer casino studio. Though remarkably, this is the 11th consecutive time the award has been handed to Evolution Gaming, which makes no small statement on how highly regarded the company is in the iGaming industry.
Looking at it another way, the developer was founded in 2006, which means that they have received the award for almost every year that they have been in business.
Though in regards to the EGR B2B Awards ceremony, it was not business as usual. The ongoing health crisis drastically transformed the event, making 2020 a highly unusual affair.
The entire ceremony was forced to adapt to a virtual format, meaning that most of the usual fanfare and glamour was absent. Even still, things went off without hitch, and the winners of each category were officially announced between July 21st and July 23rd. Sadly, of course, each winner also had to accept their award virtually. Though the lack of physical presence certainly did not lessen the honour of each accolade.
As far as the best live dealer casino developer award was concerned, there were 12 studios being considered. But few were surprised when Evolution Gaming were once again declared the winners, especially since the studio’s live casino game offerings have been more elaborate and impressive than ever before. In fact; most consider that the studio largely acts as a guiding path, with all other competing developers following behind.
Evolution Gaming chief executive officer, Martin Carlesund, made a few comments regarding the latest accolade.
Carlesund declared that his company had been pushing boundaries more than ever before, and that the last 12 months had been particularly exciting. He stressed that what was thought possible with live dealer casinos had been taken to new heights, all but changing the face of the entire iGaming industry.
He went on to elaborate that although it had certainly been a challenging time in recent months, his company had still managed to release a record breaking 12 new games for live dealer casinos. He drew specific attention to the Crazy Time and Mega Ball titles, both of which had instantly become favourites of players around the world.
Carlesund concluded by declaring that the new studio, located in Pennsylvania, was just the start of massive expansion planned around the world.
